A tender dance
brushed aside
sudden breeze
The hidden reveals

an aura
Winter draws to a close
new life
spring from the remains
Dancing debris
settles down
into orbit
Adrift at sea
sailing to sunrise
moon’s reflection
Solitary star
tracking the clouds
a satellite
Formless clouds
whipped into shape
become the stars
Under the microscope
cells resemble stars
without context
Water swells from beneath
follows faint fault lines
the substrate shifts
Slow time moves with haste
brings an end to dawn
everyday beginning
Nowhere in particular
the perfect place
to alight in the dark
To heavy eyes
passing headlights
move at light speed
A sting ray
projected in sunlight
swims across the bedroom wall
Window or door
same thing
no-one’s looking
Just out of reach
a dance in the end
of a telescope
Ancient light
circles the drain
black hole
Travelling the stars
distance becomes light
over time
The roaring forest
drowns fluttering leaves
under its turbulent swell
